A Song of Ice and mostly Temperate Climates
The Templemount name has long been associated with wizardry.
For the last millennia of history they repeatedly crop up again and again as being influential in their time. From curing the Great Plague of Tabascos to being instrumental in the downfall of the self-proclaimed Lich-King, Lichville to helping develop the Unity Tunnel and its accompanying rail network the Joining Line.
The most interesting thing about the Templemounts throughout history is the conflicting accounts of their race. Reports have varied wildly, from the family being human, to gnomes to claiming that they have elven blood running in their veins. Some isolated reports even place the Templemounts as having more monstrous origins. It is these reports that many people use to support the theory that Templemount isn’t a family name at all, but instead a title, handed down from master to apprentice. Whilst this is a compelling theory, it is, alas almost impossible to either confirm or deny as no-one has seen or heard of any member since the Great War broke out over a century ago. Even after the Treaty of Thandona was signed they never re-emerged.
